Congratulations to the January, 2012 Concealed Handgun License (CHL) course graduates! These folks braved 5 inches of snow and cold weather at the range to qualify for their CHL certificate. MOFTA Congratulates each of the grads for overcoming some pretty extreme weather conditions to complete MOFTA’s demanding CHL course requirements. Here is their class picture taken in the classroom vs. at the range for obvious reasons.

MOFTA congratulates the graduates of the October, 2011 Ohio Concealed Handgun License Course.  These folks completed a course that is very demanding and a range qualification course of fire that is comparable to law enforcement.  We regret that we do not have a  class picture for this class.  Congratulations again to this outstanding group for their achievement!

MOFTA instructors Dean Oligee and Fred Schnitzspahn spent three action packed and intense training days at the internationally renowned Tactical Defense Institute (TDI) in West Union, Ohio in mid-October, 2011. There was much to learn and even more to practice and refine at the conclusion of the course on Sunday. The instruction given by the outstanding instructor cadre at TDI was amazing. We learned new shooting skills as well as new instructional techniques and had a great time doing it they said. Congratulations to Dean and Fred for this outstanding training achievement.

Congratulations to the graduates of the October 7-8, 2011 NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course! These three students were great in the classroom and on the range. They demonstrated sound rifle knowledge, accurate shooting skills and outstanding attitude to be awarded the NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course Certificate and the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program Basic Rifle Rocker patch. They all want to come back to advanced MOFTA Courses and we welcome them to see us again in 2012. Way to go shooters!

Mid-Ohio Firearms Training Academy congratulates the graduates of the September, 2011 NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course. This is a very demanding course offered over a Friday evening and 8 to 8 on Saturday. This group of candidates was an exceptional one that it was a pleasure to work with. They will soon receive their credentials from the NRA and begin applying their teaching knowledge, skills and attitude.
