These three students were great in the classroom and on the range. They demonstrated sound rifle knowledge, accurate shooting skills and outstanding attitude to be awarded the NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course Certificate and the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program Basic Rifle Rocker patch. They all want to come back to advanced MOFTA Courses and we welcome them to see us again in 2012. Way to go shooters!

September 2011 NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Class 005 150x150 Congratulations to the Sept, 2011 NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Class sponsored by MOFTA Mid-Ohio Firearms Training Academy congratulates the graduates of the September, 2011 NRA Instructor Pistol Shooting Course. This is a very demanding course offered over a Friday evening and 8 to 8 on Saturday. This group of candidates was an exceptional one that it was a pleasure to work with. They will soon receive their credentials from the NRA and begin applying their teaching knowledge, skills and attitude.

August 20 2011 Personal Protection in the Home Class 003 150x150 NRA Personal Protection in the Home Class Learns Defensive Techniques for Home and Auto The August 20, 2011 NRA Personal Protection in the Home class learned dynamic exercises and drills to navigate the confines of their home in defense of it and their loved ones.  This was  a great class that not only performed enthusiastically at the range but participated in the classroom as well.  They are pictured with their NRA certificates at the conclusion of the range session.

MOFTA VP AND SENIOR INSTRUCTOR INVITED TO SPEAK AT INTERNATIONAL FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR CONFERENCE

Dick Caster, Senior Instructor and MOFTA partner has been invited to speak at the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors annual conference to be held in May 2011 in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Law enforcement firearms instructors from all over the world will convene for five days to participate in both classroom and live fire exercises to help them become better instructors.
