Online Enrollment – Tactical Shotgun

Step 1 – Instructions and Terms

Please read the following instructions and terms, and then proceed to online enrollment and payment below if you agree to the terms.

  • Gear Review session is Friday evening, two weeks prior to the Saturday shoot.  8:00 PM – 11:00 PM bring your rifle and gear, or come without if you haven’t purchased any yet.
  • Acceptable tac-shotguns are any pump or semi-automatic type shotgun agreed by a MOFTA representative prior to class.
  • Normal acceptable shotgun gauges are 12 or 20.
  • You should have a slings, optics, lasers, stocks, flashlights, shell carriers, vest, chest rigs, dump pouches.
  • Acceptable handguns are double action revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.
  • Handguns can be provided by MOFTA for a small rental fee if/when arranged prior to class.
  • Normally, minimum acceptable handgun caliber is .38 and/or 9mm. .44 magnums are not acceptable without prior approval by MOFTA. .22-LR is acceptable with prior approval.
  • You should have a holster and belt. You should have a minimum of two magazines (the more the better), speed loaders and/or speed strips (for revolvers). Hand loading revolvers, one shell at time will not be acceptable for MOFTA classes.
  • You should have good, clean eye and ear protection for the range sessions.
  • Range day session is Saturday during the day 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. 1/2 hour break for lunch.
  • Night Shoot will be from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Attendance of day shoot is mandatory to participate in the night shoot.

MOFTA’s fee for the Introduction To Tac-Shotgun course is $100.00 ($90.00 if paid in full online) per student for the day shoot portion, or $125.00 ($115.00 if paid in full online) per student for both the day and night shoot. A $75.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a spot in class. We limit the class to 15-students and they do fill up. We operate on a first-come first-serve basis. The balance is due at the beginning of class, in cash, check, or money order. Credit cards can not be accepted at the range.

Disclaimer: Although MOFTA’s courses are taught by NRA certified Instructors, which complies with the requirements of the law, MOFTA’s Defensive Hand Gun Classes are not a NRA certified course. Ohio’s law does not require the course to be an NRA certified course to comply, however the NRA does require their instructors to make this disclaimer anytime they are teaching a non NRA certified course.

You have two options for payment for the Defensive Hand Gun Level 2 Course: You can either pay a 50% deposit to lock in your space and pay the balance at the range, or pay the amount in full.
